摘　　要：拉金认为死亡是不可避免的,但正是因为如此,死亡的意识和对死亡的恐惧使生命获得另一种超脱的性质。本文将在拉金诗歌中死亡的意象世界里,分析诗人对死亡恐惧的原因,并发现对死亡非宗教的超脱途径。Philip Larkin believes that death is inevitable, while the awareness and tear ot death wilt make life contain meaning and another quality of transcedence. By examining the frightening imageries of death offered by Larkin, and by illustrating the reasons of the fear for death, this paper will discover a spiritual survival from death.
