摘　　要：尤金·奥尼尔的剧作《榆树下的欲望》是美国戏剧史上第一部伟大的悲剧,也是奥尼尔初期悲剧创作的最高成就。剧中奥尼尔塑造无声中喘息和有声中反抗两种类型的女性形象。通过女性主义视角解读剧中四位女性人物的悲惨命运,以此揭露男权社会对女性的残害与压迫,并通过阐释女性人物自我意识的觉醒过程反映出奥尼尔对女性寄予的深切同情。Plays of Eugene O＇Neill＇s ＂Desire under the Elms＂ is the history of the first great American drama tragedy,but also the early Tragedies of O＇Neill highest achievement.In the play,O＇Neill shaped the silent sound of breathing resistance and there are two types of female image.Through the perspective of feminism play the tragic fate of four female characters,thereby exposing the patriarchal society of female mutilation and oppression,and through the interpretation of female characters in the process of self-consciousness reflects O＇Neill＇s deep sympathy for women.
