From November 1938 to September 1939, Britain rescued and took in some 10 000 refugee children from Nazi Germany. The main reasons why Britain decided to do so are, on the one hand, the moving force that was powerful enough to prompt Britain to take the action into account given the situation in Nazi Germany. On the other hand, Britain is able to make an active response to the rescue appeal from Nazi Germany. The rescue of refugee children was a lengthy, wide -ranging, complicated, and large scale project which consisted of two key links, i.e. selection and transportation. Although there were some pities and limitations in the res- cue movement, it is a unique and great contribution made by Britain in the history of rescuing the refugees from Nazi Germany.
