摘　　要：本文考察大型国际活动前后大学生跨文化志愿者对世界英语的态度,研究对象为2008—2011年间北京奥运会、上海世博会、广州亚运会、深圳大运会志愿者750余名。研究方法为主观投射测试,施测于活动前后。在各地独立研究的基础上,我们整合定量数据,比较了活动前后志愿者对英国英语、美国英语、美国黑人英语、中国英语、印度英语的辨识和评价。研究发现,无论活动前后,志愿者对变体的识别正确率排序由高至低是:中国英语>美国英语/英国英语>印度英语/美国黑人英语;对变体的总体评价排序是:美国英语>英国英语>美国黑人英语>中国英语>印度英语。在活动后,志愿者对所有变体的识别率比活动前均有显著上升;对英国英语、美国英语、中国英语和美国黑人英语的评价以上升趋势为主。对印度英语的评价变化趋势不明显。这显示通过活动,志愿者对世界英语变体的了解有一定程度的增加;对本土英语变体的态度更为积极,但同时语言刻板印象得以延续。未来跨文化志愿者的多元文化意识培养面临较大挑战。This study examines the attitudes of Chinese student volunteers towards World Englishes before and after intercuhur- al communication events. Participants are over 750 volunteers in four international events between 2008 and 2001, i.e. , Bei- jing Olympic Games, Shanghai World Expo, Guangzhou Asian Games, and Shenzhen Universiade. A subjective projection test has been administered before and after the events, including 5 varieties of World Englishes ： British English （ BE）, American English （AM）, African-American English （AAE）, Indian English （IE）, and China English （CE）. Results show that 1 ） Accuracy rates of variety recognition has the following ranking： CE 〉 AE/BE 〉 IE 〉 AAE ; 2） The recognition accuracy rates for all varieties are improved after the events ; 3） Evaluation of the varieties forms the following ranking： AE 〉 BE 〉 AAE 〉 CE 〉 IE ; 4） After the events, evaluation of BE, AE, AAE and CE becomes more positive, while that of IE does not show a unified direction of change. Such results indicate increased identification with the local variety on the one hand, and stable stereotypes on the other.
