摘　　要：详细介绍澳大利亚外科专科医师培训的宗旨、结构、大纲及具体培训方法和内容，其总体特点为：高标准、严要求，理论与实践并重，以培训出高水准的合格外科医生为根本目的。将澳大利亚的外科专科医师培训与美国进行简要的横向比较，以期对目前国内进行的专科医师培训有所启示。Based on the first hand cardiothoracic surgical training experiences in Australia, the author introduced the Australian surgical training system＇s objective, structure, outline and specific training methods as well as its contents in detail. Its overall characters can be summarized as high standard, strict requirement and equal stress on both theory and practice. Hopefully, this introduction and reflection may shed some light on the improvement and evolvement of the resident training system in China.
