摘　　要：通过对独立学院竞争力内涵的研究,得出办学定位、专业建设、师资队伍和参与社会合作是影响独立学院竞争力的四大因素。在此基础上,通过设计相对完善的竞争力评价指标体系,运用主成分分析法对所选取的7所独立学院竞争力进行测算,并深入比较该指标体系与现有指标体系在实际测算独立学院竞争力上的优势,从实证角度为研究独立学院的竞争力提供参考依据和方法。Based on an analysis of the connotation of independent college＇s competitiveness,this paper points out that the objectives ot! independent colleges,the construction of specialties;teacher development and social cooperation are the key factors which can affect the competitiveness of independent colleges. Thereafter,an evaluation index system of independent college＇s competitiveness was designed,and the competitiveness of 7 independent colleges was evaluated by using the principal component analysis （PCA）. Finally the advantage of our evaluation index system over the existing index system was discussed. The purpose of the research is to provide an empirical method for analyzing the competitiveness of independent colleges.
