摘  要:首先说明了左手媒质的介电常数ε和磁导率μ与频率有关,是色散媒质。迄今为止的左手媒质都是人工合成的,一般工作在微波的极小频段,为此,根据已知几种人造左手媒质,讨论了它们的ε、μ的频变模型。并简单分析了左手媒质的电磁特性,以及人造左手媒质的特点及其研究进展。Firstly it is proved that in left-handed materials both dielectric permittivity and magnetic permeability are related to frequency, left-handed materials are dispersive materials. Till now all of left- handed materials we known are man-made composites, and they work at small frequency band of microwave. So it needs to choose their models of dielectric permittivity and magnetic permeability for different man-made left-handed materials. Then electromagnetic characteristics of left-handed materials are described, and some structures of artificial left-handed materials and recent research on them are introduced.
