摘　　要：Five hearing-impaired children arrived in Beijing on December 3, 2013, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, to receive free cochlear implants at the General Hospital of the People＇s Liberation Army （PLA）. The children became the first beneficiaries of a fund -- established by China Children and Teenagers＇ Foundation （CCTF）, the PLA General Hospital, People＇s Insurance Company of China （PICC） and Hangzhou Nurotron Biotechnology Co., Ltd -- to treat hearing-impaired children.
