摘　　要：图书馆书库搬迁,架位测算与预留最为关键,过刊的搬迁与架位预留也如此。笔者通过实地测量每种外文期刊的刊脊厚度,按每本期刊汇总数据,按年推算该刊占架位的增长长度,从而分配外文过刊架位、指导搬迁工作。The shelf calculation and reservation are most important in the relocation of library＇s back issues. We can collect each foreign periodical＇s annual summary data according to the measurement of its back thickness. Based on this data, we can calculate this foreign periodical＇s annual projected increase length on the shelf to guide the old foreign periodicals＇ shelf distribution and reservation work.
