摘　　要：本文基于中国1990—2010年的省际数据，采用动态面板系统GMM和外部工具变量法，实证考察贸易开放对区域经济增长的影响及其作用机制，研究控制了变量内生性问题，修正了传统研究中贸易增长效应的有偏非一致估计。结果表明，（1）贸易开放显著地影响了各省区经济增长速度，东部与中西部地区的贸易开放差异是形成地区差距的重要因素；（2）贸易通过人力资本积累和促进专业化分工影响地区增长，贸易开放对人力资本和工业发展水平高的地区具有更有利的效应，而对传统农业省份存在一定的负面影响。这些结论对后金融危机时代各地区统筹国内外市场，实现内外需平衡增长，协调好对外贸易、产业结构与经济增长的关系，从而加快转变经济发展方式具有政策启示。This paper uses provincial panel data from 1990 to 2010, dynamic panel system GMM and external instrumental variable method to investigate the impact of trade openness on regional growth and the mechanisms through which these influences take place. We try to overcome the problem of endogenous variable, and amend to partial, non- consistent estimation of trade＇s growth effect in the tradi- tional research. The main findings are as follows： （ 1 ） trade openness significantly affects economic growth of the provinces, trade openness＇s differences between coastal and inland areas is an important factor for regional development disparities; （2） trade affects eco- nomic grow through human capital accumulation and promoting of specialized division of labor, and trade openness has a more favorable ef- fect on these regions which have higher level of human capital and industrial developmem, but it has some negative impact on the agricul- tural provinces. In the post- crisis era, these conclusions have important policy implications for China to coordinate domestic and interna- tional markets, to achieve balance growth of internal and external demand, coordinate the relationship among foreign trade, industrial structure and economic growth, to accelerate the mode of economic growth.
