摘　　要：中国现代地学家群体是中国近现代地学发展的重要人才支撑。通过从出生年代、出生地域、当选年龄与性别分布、教育经历、所在机构与所在地以及专业方向等多个角度对这一群体进行统计分析,进行共时性与历时性对比相结合的研究,总结概括我国现代地学家群体的特征,并得到地学人才乃至科技人才培养的重要启示。Modem Chinese geologists group is an important support for the development of modem Chinese geosci-ence. Statistical analysis is conducted on the group in terms of the birth time, the birth place, age of being elected,sex distribution, educational background, affiliated institutes and their locality, and speciality fields. By synchronic comparison and diachronic comparison, the authors summarize the characters of modern Chinese geologists group and provide enlightenment for the fostering of geoscientific talents and even scientific and technological talents.
