摘　　要：介绍了移动IP切换的发生过程及原理，描述了切换造成TCP性能下降的原因和一些实验验证数据。说明为了更好地满足用户需求，移动IP和TCP需要作进一步改进，并提出了相应的解决办法。When a mobile host moves between two foreign networks, a handoff is necessary to adjust the mobile routing functionality. In this paper, we describe first process and principal of mobile IP handoff. Then we discuss some reasons causing negative effects on the performance of TCP, and some experiment results. Finally, we present some methods to improve the handoff performance.
