摘　　要：当前,国家、社会对外语学科的发展提出了新的要求,英语专业面临由原来单一的英语语言文学专业拓展为包括英语、翻译、商务英语等在内的英语类专业的新形势。本文分析英语专业拓展的背景、英语类专业发展面临的困境与挑战,并分别从专业内涵建设、多元人才培养模式、学生创新能力培养、应用能力提升、师资队伍建设、教育教学管理等六个方面,探讨英语类专业创新发展的途径。In order to meet China′ s emerging needs in foreign language education,English language major programmes with their traditional single concentration on English language and literature have in recent years developed two more concentrations:Translation &Interpreting and Business English.This article first discusses the background of such development of new programme types and the challenges facing English-based BA programmes.It then explores ways of their further development in six aspects:The knowledge structure,the training pattern,the cultivation of abilities for innovations,the upgrading of abilities to handle practicalities,teacher education,and educational management.
