摘　　要：三性分布由25年、倍25年和25年的黄金分割点组成,美国西部4次8级大震符合三性分布的某些时间点。按此分布,我们预测在2017年前后美国西部可能发生8级地震。The temporal triplet distribution consists of period of 25 years, multiplied 25 years and golden section of 25 years . Four great earthquakes with Ms ≥ 8 in west Americahave the similar characteristics with some points of the temporal triplet distribution. Accord- ing to this temporal distribution, we predict that a great earthquake will be possible to occur in west America around 2017.
