摘　　要："五四"时期,周作人借《小河》一诗表达了"水能载舟,亦能覆舟"的古老忧惧。在小说《长河》中,沈从文的"现代"忧惧是指涉那种摧枯拉朽的革命政治的。In the period of the May 4th Movement,through a poetry named Long River, Chou Zuoren expressed the ancient apprehension, which is ＂while water can carry a boat,it can also overturn it＂. In the Long River ,＂Modern＂ apprehension of Shen congwen refers to the irresistible momentum of political revolution.
