摘　　要：作为英美新左派知识分子,霍加特、汤普森和詹姆逊试图通过细察的方式从民族志、历史文本和后现代文艺等资源库中提取素材以重构工业革命以来直至今天的社会发展史:一个由人民群众通过点点滴滴的日常生活改造和微观政治斗争,对抗资本主义及其主流意识形态"进步主义"的"进步"史,以此激励全世界无产阶级和弱势群体为自己的生活方式的平等权而斗争。As the British and American New Left intellectuals, Hoggart, Thompson and Jameson tried to reconstruct the history of social development from the industrial revolution until today from ethnographic, historical texts and postmodern literature and art re- sources in scrutinizing way. The reconstructed history is a ＂progress＂ one full of people＇ s changes of daily lives and microscopic politi- cal struggles against the capitalism and its ＂progressive＂ ideology. In this way the Culturalists inspire the world-wide proletariat and vulnerable groups to struggle for their equal rights of way of life.
