摘　　要：提出了一种利用差分计盒维数 (简称DBC ,一种估计分形维数的方法 )新的分形图像编码方法 ,该方法利用DBC来寻找一个与值域子块在分形维数上最接近而且与其差别小于某一预定阈值的定义域子块 .这种方法的优点在于能够有效减少搜寻对应于某一值域子块的最佳定义域子块及最佳变换的搜索空间 .A new fractal block coding method with Differential Box Counting (abbr. DBC, a method to estimate fractal dimension) is proposed in the paper. The technique utilizes the DBC to find the domain block which has the nearest fractal dimension to a range block and to choose the first domain block whose distortion with the range block is below the prior determined threshold as the matching domain block. The advantage of this approach is to reduce the search space for finding the appropriately matched domain block and the appropriate transformation corresponding to a range block.
