摘　　要：产业升级反映了一个产业由低级向高级顺向演进的过程,凸显了技术创新在产业升级过程中所发挥的动力性作用。企业是产业升级的微观基础,其自主创新能力的强弱对产业升级具有重要影响。了解企业技术创新活动的特征是地方政府探寻产业升级路径的重要前提。本文通过对佛山陶瓷产业集群中42家重点企业进行调查,发现企业在技术创新平台建设、研发投入强度、科研成果转化、人才队伍建设等方面均有实质性的进步,但在政府科技创新资金投入、高层次人才的培育与引进等方面还存在不足。在此基础上,提出了增强陶瓷企业自主创新能力与产业升级能力的建议。Industrial upgrading reflects a process which an industry evolves from junior to senior, and highlights the dynamic role played by technological innovation in the process of industrial upgrading. Firms are the microcosmic basis of industrial upgrading, whose level of independent innovation capability has an important influence on industrial upgrading. To grasp the charac- teristics of firms＇ technological innovation activities is an important prerequisite for local governments to explore the paths of industrial upgrading. Based on the investigation of forty - two key firms of Foshan ceramic industry cluster, the results show that firms have made great progresses in the construction of technological innovation platform, R＆D intensity, transformation of scientific research achievements and the construction of talent team, etc. However, there is still insufficiency in the government＇ s financial investment in science and technology innovations and the cultivation and introduction of high - level talents. Finally, some suggestions for the enhancement of ceramic firms＇ capabilities of independent innovations and indus- trial upgrading capacities is put forward.
