摘　　要：埃德加·爱伦·坡的短篇小说总是能给人们带来意想不到的惊奇和酣畅淋漓的阅读快乐,这与他对小说从形式到内容的独具匠心不无联系。在短篇惊悚恐怖小说《一桶白葡萄酒》中,爱伦·坡选取了独特的叙述视角,通过谋杀者之口,讲述了一桩蓄谋已久的报复事件。为了营造压抑恐怖的气氛,爱伦·坡在小说中运用了一系列的象征元素,为小说的故事情节蒙上了浓浓的神秘气息,将小说的整个氛围推向了极致,充分体现了其一贯秉持的"效果论"创作理念。Edgar Allan Poe＇ s short stories always brought unexpected surprises and great reading funs to the readers, which had a strong connection with his special inventive mind on the form and the con- tent of the stories. In the thrilling story The Cask of Amontillado, Poe told the readers a story about re- venge from the perspective of the murder. In order to create a repressive climate of horror, Poe applied a series of symbolic elements in the story, which covered the plot with a thick and mysterious atmos- phere and brought the story to an extreme. The use of the special perspective and the meaningful sym- bols has demonstrated Poe＇ s consistent concer）t of ＂Unitv of Effect＂
