摘　　要：无字石牌是瑶族石牌制的雏形。随着时代的发展,无字石牌发展成为有文字的"石牌律",并衍生出内容全面的习惯法。通过对金秀瑶族自治县罗香乡琼伍村龙军屯无字石牌的实地考察,以历史人类学的视角描述无字石牌的产生时间、内容、形成过程及历史职能等,分析无字石牌演变过程中的发展特征及功能变迁。The stele without words is the original form of the stele system among Yao people. As time goes by, the stele without words gradually evolves into the stele with carved principles, from which customary laws with comprehensive contents are thus derived. Based on the field investigation into the steles without words in Qiongwu Village of Luoxiang Town in Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, the author, from the perspective of historical anthropology, describes the emergence date, contents, formation process and historical functions of the stele without words, and analyses the developmental features and functional changes during the course of its evolution.
