摘　　要：英国物理学家麦克斯韦是气体动理论的创始人之一．麦克斯韦气体分子速率分布律是普通物理学热学部分中一个讲授过程中的重点和难点，现行大多教材都是直接就给出结果，没有任何推导过程，对初学者是不能理解的，针对这一问题，对麦克斯韦速率分布公式及三种速度的作详细地推导，为广大师生作教学参考．Maxwell velocity distribution is important and difficult process in The General Physics of thermal, most of the existing materials are given the results directly, without any derivation, the process is not understandable for beginners, for which a problem for maxwell＇s distribution formula and three speeds for detailed derivation, for the majority of teachers and students for teaching reference.
