摘 要:围绕栽桑养蚕的桑树基础研究已不能适应以生态桑为主的现代桑产业发展的需要。为建立现代桑树学研究体系,实施了桑树基因组计划。该计划的实施获得了大规模的桑树基因资源,推动了桑树细胞学研究,为功能基因组的研究奠定了基础。桑树基因组和功能基因组研究是促进蚕桑产业可持续发展的根本,将为桑树分子标记辅助的新品种选育,优良种质资源的创造,桑树资源多用途综合利用与开发以及产业链的延伸提供技术支撑。The basic research centered on growing mulberry for silkworm rearing has not been able to accommodate the needs in development of modern mulberry industry which focuses on its ecological and economic impacts on ecosystem. In order to establish modern research system of mulberry, we carried out the Mulberry Genome Project. Implementation of this project obtained abundant genomic information of mulberry ( Morus notabilis) which would promote mulberry cyto- logical studies and provide a good basis for functiooal studies of mulberry genes. Knowledge about mulberry genome and from functional genomic research is essential for sustainable development of mulberry industry. It will greatly facilitate molecular marker assisted selection and breeding of new mulberry varieties, creation of excellent germplasm resources, development and comprehensive utilization of mulberry resources, and expansion of mulberry industrial chain.
