摘　　要：文章借助舒尔茨《改造传统农业》的经济理论,分析中国古代长江与黄河流域及西北内陆等三大棉花种植区域的初步形成、中国传统棉花种植文化体系的基本确立以及美大陆棉引种促进中国传统棉花种植业的成功转型,探索棉业人力资源投资与杂交转基因高产棉种等新生产要素以及现代棉花种植企业的经营新模式。In virtue of economic theory of Schurz in the book of The Renovation of Tranditional Agriculture,this paper analyses the initial shaping of Yangtze River basin, Yellow River basin and northwest interior area these 3 ancient Chinese cotton planting areas which have established ancient cotton planting culture of ours basically.the introduction of American continental cotton which has adl^anced the successful transition of ancient Chinese cotton planting industry is also analysed, to explore new production factors, such as investment of human resource of cotton industry, cross-fertilize or transgenic high-yield cotton seeds and so on.New business model of modem cotton planting enterprises is also discussed.
