摘　　要：独立学院是按照新的机制和模式举办的本科层次的二级学院,它有不同于母体院校的独立定位和人才培养目标。数据库课程是所有高校计算机专业的必修课,本文结合独立学院的实际情况,探讨了对该门课程的教学改革。实践证明,教学改革效果良好,不仅培养了学生的学习兴趣,也提高了他们的动手能力。Independent college is a kind of undergraduate level university which is established according to new mechanism and mode. Its school-running orientation and training target are not same with its maternal university. Database principle and application is a compulsory course for students who majored in computer science. Teaching reform on this course is discussed here according to the actual situation of independent college. It is proved by practice that the reform has good effectiveness. Students＂ learning interest is cultivated and their practice ability is improved.
