摘　　要：铁勒族名学界较早开始研究,关于其由来至今意见仍不统一,分歧较大。本文在充分吸收前人研究成果的基础上,从汉语语音变化和民族语言的角度并利用民族史语文学的方法进行研究,对这个历史疑难问题提出个人见解。Abstract：Scholars began to study the name of TieLe ethnic group early, but till now they still have different ideas about it. Based on the previous researches, the author puts forward his own point of view about this historic prob- lem from the perspectives of Chinese phonetic change and the national language and using the method of ethno- historical philology.
