摘 要:托妮·莫里森在《宠儿》中提出的"历史重新记忆"与百纳被传统艺术所蕴含的历史记忆有着天然契合之处:对"塞丝弑女"这一中心事件共同记忆的各叙事主体构成了缝制百纳被的不同主体;各叙事主体对过去事件的重新记忆构成缝制百纳被所使用的不同碎片。本文通过百纳被叙事、美国黑人民族文化的重建和多元民族文化的共存等三层面分析,指出《宠儿》中百纳被历史重新记忆打破了白人文化霸权,还原了黑人历史文化,表达了多元民族文化以及各民族和谐共存的思想。The concept of "historical re-memory" raised in Toni Morrison' s Beloved bears much similarity with the connotations of quilting, which has become a site to relate the quilt-makers' memory across generations. Different storytellers of the .infanticide in Beloved play a role similar to that of the quilt-makers, and the fragmented re-memory that makes up a full account of the infanticide shares the same features with those of the fragments that make up a quilt. Through an analysis of the narrative strategy, the reconstruction of black history, and the coexistence of different cultures in Beloved, this paper points out that the historical re-memory wrought in the pattern of quilting is able to restere against the supremacy of white A- merican culture a distinct black history and culture, and it expresses Morrison' s idea about the harmonious coexistence of different ethnic groups and their cultures.
