摘 要:摩尼教"拂多誕"一詞,西方學界認爲音譯自胡語的教階稱謂。本文在西方語言學研究的基礎上,藉助中國傳統史學的考據法,探討該詞產生的歷史真相,解讀該詞的意蘊。認爲其乃武則天延載元年(694)認可摩尼教在華傳播的產物,原係其時朝廷爲覲見某位摩尼高僧所取名號,而被摩尼教團作爲第二教階的漢文稱謂。As to the Chinese Manichaean term'Fuduodan'( 拂多誕),it is traditionally regarded by the western scholars as a Manichaean cleric title which was brought from foreign languages. On the basis of linguistics researches by western scholars,the paper,with the method of Chinese traditional textual research,tries to discover the historical background under which this term produced and explore its connotation. It's concluded that the term was a testimony showing Emperor Wu Zetian's recognition of Manichaeism on the first year of Yanzai era( 694). The Chinese name 'Fuduodan ' was originally given by the imperial court of Tang for a Manichaean senior Cleric's audience with Emperor Wu Zetian,but later it became the name referring to the second dignitary in the cleric rank system of the Chinese Manichaean community.
