摘　　要：通过详细分析上覆于梅江断裂上全新统地层中三个人工探槽剖面 ,得出该断裂是一条全新世活动断层 ,且近 30 0 0年以来 ,至少发生过两次 7级左右强烈地震事件的结论性认识。The understanding that the Mae Chan Fault is a Holocene active fault and at least two strong earthquakes with about M 7 0 have occurred in the fault in past 3000 years is obtained through analyzing in detail the tree artificial trench profiles overlying on Holocene stratum in the Mae Chan Fault.
