摘 要:根据香港平洲组三块地化样品的分析成果 ,讨论其有机质丰度、可溶有机质族组分以及生物标志化石特征 ,结果表明 :平洲组有机质丰度较高 ,有机质类型主要为混合型 ;源岩目前处于成熟阶段 ,具备生成一定数量油气的能力。Nowadays,the northern South China Sea has become an important base for gas production in China,and study on source rocks within the area has been carried out continuously.The present paper deals with the organic geochemistry of Pingzhou Formation in Hong Kong to make clear the abundance of organic matter,characteristics of soluble components and biomarker etc.The Pingzhou Formation is also thought to be important source rocks of the area. The Pingzhou Formation is a set of dark moderate thick—thin Mg rich siltstone and mudstone with an exposed thickness of 200 m.3 samples collected from the lower and upper parts of the formation give the following knowledge: (1)Pingzhou Formation has a high organic abundance and the organic types are mainly represented by mixed type;tephane and steroid characteristics show that the organic matter mainly comes from marine low grade biogenesis. (2)The family principally consists of saturated and aromatic hydrocarbon(about 54 7%).The Pr/Ph ratio is 0 85~1 12,suggesting that hydrodynamic conditions during deposition were in a weak situation(?).The salinity is high,meaning that the environment may belong to weak reduction. (3)The source rocks are now in mature stage.And Dinophycene evaluation tells,“A large amount of dark inert components are found in the sample from the lower part… and if it is not redeposit,then the sample has a high degree of thermal metamorphism.”
