摘　　要：细说起来，“‘物质匮乏’的雕塑学”是指雕塑历史及理论研究中缺乏对材料媒介、技术方法和工具手段的研究。更进一步说，雕塑学作为艺术的学科领地之一，已经拥有了文化学研究、社会学研究和美学研究等等热闹的阵容，但缺乏物理学研究或物质性研究的应有席位。In detail, 'Material Scarcity' refers to the lack of study in terms of material, medium,technical methods and tools in the scope of the study on history and theory of sculpture art.Furthermore, sculpture study, as one of the aesthetic studies, had already included the cultural research, sociology research and aesthetic research and so on,but it still lacks the research of physical characteristics or materiality of sculpture art.One of the most harmful mistake in the previous sculpture studies was the ignorance of the characteristics of the mediums of sculptural materials,that is to say,the lack of the research of the physical characteristics or materiality of sculpture art.
