摘　　要：霍尔作为当代英国文化研究的领军人物,从马克思主义的历史唯物主义视角出发,广泛吸收当代文化研究的新成果,通过阐释文化研究的意义、内涵、对象和使命等多方面发展了马克思主义的文化理论。霍尔的文化研究以重构马克思主义在文化研究领域的影响力为出发点,对当代文化的发展逻辑及其影响社会的深层机制进行了开创性研究,对文化的本质赋予了新的内涵,这些理论探索为我们在新的时代条件下发展马克思主义文化理论提供了有益的启示。Hall is a leading figure of contemporary cultural studies in British. He has developed many aspects of Marxists＇ cultural theory with stands of historical materialism. He has absorbed extensively the new achievements of contemporary cultural studies through the interpretation of cultural significance, connotation, object and mission. The starting point of Hall works are recon- struction of the influence of Marxism in the field of cultural studies. He made the pioneering re- searches of the essences of culture and the logic of cultural development with its impact on the so- cial deep mechanism. He has given a new connotation with the theoretical exploration of contem- porary culture and provided the beneficial inspiration for our understanding of Marxists＇ cultural theory in the new era.
