摘　　要：《瑞普·凡·温克尔》是美国文学史上第一部穿越小说,通过叙述主人公瑞普从英国殖民时代的北美穿越到独立后的美利坚合众国时代所经历的身份错位和身份认同,欧文表达了其后殖民主义反抗的暧昧性,既一方面反对英国对北美的殖民统治,另一方面又不赞成暴力反抗殖民主义,对独立后的美国所出现的政治乱象也心存疑虑。As the first time-travel story in the history of American literature, Rip Van Winkle narrates how the protagonist suf- fers from identity loss and recognition after his time travel from the North America under the British colonization to the United States of America at its independence. Through the depiction of Rip＇ s time travel, the story expresses Irving＇ s ambiguity in his post-colonial resistance, that is, on the one hand, Irving opposes Britain＇s colonization of the North America; on the other hand, he also opposes the way of using violence to overthrow colonialism and worries about the political chaos of America after independence.
