摘　　要：南宋初年的杜充,先以守御两京获得抗金名臣的声誉,后以宰相身份统率各路宋军在防守长江时主动降金。这一骤然转变的直接原因是宋军将帅不听调遣,令他陷入孤军作战的境地而导致失败,促成其投金的抉择。但更为根本的动因在于,杜充的抗金主张与日益保守的朝政路线发生了激烈对抗,以致无法与当时的政治相兼容。杜充前后截然相反的人生选择,从一个侧面反映出南宋初政治演变的轨迹。During the earlier years of Southern Song, Du Chong won his reputation in defending two capitals a- gainst Jin army, but later, as a prime minister in command of Song armies to defend Yangzi River, surren- dered to Jin Dynasty. This sudden transformation was directly due to refusal of military generals to obey his as- signment, which made him fight a lone battle, resulting in failure and thus capitulation. But more fundamental reason was the conflict between his anti -Jin proposal which made him incompatible to the politics at that time. and increasingly conservative governmental policy, The evolution of politics in early Southern Song can be revealed by an analysis of Du Chong＇ s quite different choice
