Objective To observe the effect of Low-intensity ultrasound to vaginal bleeding and expression of ox ytocin receptor in uterinus muscular of SD rats after medical abortion. Methods 30 female pregnancy rats were ran domly divided into treatment group and control group . Treatment group was treated by low-intensity ultrasound for 30 min/d ,5 days. Control group was treated by the same methods with treatment group . But, no power output dur- ing the treatment. Observe the amount of vaginal bleeding and bleeding time during treatment. Uterine tissue was taken out after 5 days. OTR was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results Vaginal bleeding was less in treatment group than that in control group. The difference was statistically significant (P〈0.05) ; Strong positive expression rate of OTR was higher in treatment group than that in control group in myometrium and endometrium of uterus(P〈 0.05). Conclusions Low-intensity ultrasound can promote postpartum uterine involution. And its Mechanisms was related to increase expression of oxytocin receptor in myometrium and endometrium of uterus.
