摘　　要：多年以来 ,欧美国家对于主要款目的存废问题 ,主要是围绕着其标目范围、集中职能和查核复本的职能展开争论 ;日本和我国则是围绕着标目的选取问题展开争论。在当今计算机编目时代 ,主要款目完全可以废除。但在我国 ,主要款目存废问题仍在争论中。参考文献 4。In Western countries, there have been controversies over the retainment and abandonment of main entries. In Japan and China, controversies are focused on the selection of headings. The author thinks that in the present age when computer cataloging is applied widely, main entries can be abandoned. In China, however, the problem is still in discussion. 4 refs.
