摘 要:采用加入微量乳化剂(其浓度低于临界胶束浓度)的无皂乳液聚合法成功制备了单分散的聚苯乙烯(PS)微球。考察了聚合反应过程中的乳化剂浓度、单体浓度、引发剂浓度和离子强度等因素对PS微球粒径、单分散性和单体转化率的影响。用激光粒度仪和扫描电子显微镜对微球粒径、单分散性指数和表面形貌进行了表征。结果表明,改进的无皂乳液聚合法制备的PS微球具有粒径较小(100-350nm)、单分散性好、转化率高等优点。Monodisperse polystyrene (PS) microspheres were synthesized by soap-free emulsion polymerization with adding a small amount of emulsifier, whose concentration was lower than the critical micelle concentration. Effects of the concentrations of emulsifier, styrene monomer, potassium persulfate initiator and sodium bicarbonate (ionic strength) on particle diameter and distribution of the PS microspheres were studied. The diameter, monodisperse index and surface morphology of the PS microspheres were characterized by nanoparticle size analyzer and scanning electron microscopy. The soap-free emulsion polymerization is improved through adding a small amount of emulsifier, and the prepared polystyrene microspheres have characteristics of smaller pore diameter (100-350 nm), better monodispersion and higher conversion.
