《洪堡的礼物》中的女性形象的矛盾性特质及其成因探析

摘　　要：长期以来,学术界对《洪堡的礼物》中的女性形象所表现出来的矛盾性特质及其成因等问题关注不够。从女性主义研究视角看,小说中的三个主要女性形象:凯丝琳、丹妮丝和莱娜达,在追求女性主体地位、建构自我身份的过程中,以不同方式融合了西方文学中的"天使"与"妖妇"两大要素,形成了矛盾性的艺术特质。究其原因可见,这正是"天使"和"妖妇"的内在统一性及贝娄的性别政治困境共同作用的结果。For a long time, the contradictory feature of the female images in Humboldt＇s Gift and its causes are nearly ig- nored. From the feminist point of view, this paper studies the three major female images Kathleen, Denise and Renata, who are brave to pursue freedom and to construct their identities, by variously mingling the elements of ＂ angles＂ and ＂madwom- en＂. And we find this contradictory feature is caused by both the inherent consistency between ＂angles＂ and ＂madwomen＂ and Bellow＇s contradictory attitude toward feminism.
