摘　　要：以Brown&Levinson的面子理论及Leech的礼貌原则为基础,以南京工业职业技术学院大一116名非英语专业的学生为调查对象,按高考英语成绩分为高分组与低分组,每组30人运用统计软件SPSS16.0进行独立样本t检验,通过问卷调查的方法探讨大学英语课堂中国大学生的面子维护策略,以期对教师的外语教学和学生的二语习得有所助益。This paper,based on Brown ＆amp; Levinson？s face theory and Leech？s politeness principles,makes an analysis of Chinese college students？face-saving strategies in EFL class,and,with SPSS16？0,surveys 116 non-English major freshmen in Nanjing Institute of Indus-try Technology,dividing them into two groups according to their scores of College English Entrance Examination. The purpose of the stud-y is to help Chinese English teachers to realize the usage of face-saving strategies in EFL class to improve their English teaching.
