摘　　要："二战"前,日本出现了以现代社会科学方法来研究近现代中国的现代中国学。日本出现这种研究的动力在于:对外侵略扩张的大陆政策的形成与确立,直接催生了现代中国学;西方社会科学的输入,为现代中国学的诞生准备了理论和方法;现代高等教育的创办、发展,进一步促进了西学与现代中国研究的结合。In the pre-WWII period,a subject called Modern China Study come into being.It aims to analyze modern China with modern social science.There are several impetuses pushing the study:China policy for aggression and expansion gives the birth to the Modern China Study immediately;the input of western social science makes the theory and method prepared for Modern China Study;besides,the establishment and the development of higher education further promote the combination of Western Learning and China Study.
