摘　　要：Levant cotton root is a folk traditional herb with a long history in China. This article gave a brief introduction on recent research work related to main com- position, pharmacologic effect and clinical application of levant cotton root and pro- posed existing problems and countermeasures for pharmaceutical industrialization.棉花根是我国历史悠久的民间中草药材。从棉花根的药用成分、药理及临床应用方面对其药用价值进行了分析阐述。并分析了存在问题,提出了解决办法,为棉花根药用产业化研究提供参考。
