摘　　要：作为英国19世纪末最具影响力的批判现实主义作家之一,托马斯·哈代通过《德伯家的苔丝》书写了一曲具有女性反叛意识的英国农村下层女性从逆来顺受走向努力抗争直至自我毁灭的命运悲歌。苔丝的悲剧既揭示了英国农村下层女性在时代转型时期面对社会环境的险恶、阶级与性别的压迫与暴力既屈从又反抗的矛盾意识,又体现哈代从女性主义的立场对世俗道德伦理贞节观、双重性道德标准与宗教制度的强烈批判。此外,哈代对苔丝冠以"纯洁"的美名隐喻女性仍是父权主义期待视野下的欲望客体,因此其女性主义进步思想仍带有父权制思想意识形态的烙印。As one of the most influential as Hardy created a tragic story of an English English writers of critical realism in the late 19th century ,Thorn- rural female of lower class in the novel Tess of the d＇Urbervilles. From resigning herself to adversity and striving for resistance to self-destruction,Tess has rebellious female consciousness as well as ambivalent attitudes in social transition.The tragedy of Tess reveals her submission to as well as resistance against social injustice, class oppression and sexual violence in hostile social environ- ment.Hardy has distinctive feminist views ,critiquing virginity ethics ,double moral standards and deceitful re- ligious system.Meanwhile,Tess is still a patriarchal desire object as she is termed with purity by Hardy.Thus Hardy＇s feminist views embody the residue of patriarchal ideology.
