摘　　要：GPS(Global Positioning System)全球定位系统是美国研制使用的卫星导航与定位系统,其技术应用已遍及国民经济的各个领域。在测量领域中,GPS已广泛用于大地测量、工程测量以及地形测量等多个方面。本文将以河湖普查中采集水文站、水位站和河源河口地理坐标等为例,概略叙述GPS在河湖普查中的应用。GPS（Global Positioning System）is a satellite navigation and positioning system which is de- veloped in USA. The technology has been applied in many fields of national economy. In the field of mea- surement, GPS has been widely used in many aspects of geodetic survey, engineering survey and topo- graphic survey. Taking the acquisition of the geographical coordinates of hydrological station, gauging sta- tion, the source of the river and estuary in the census of rivers and lakes as an example, the paper de- scribes briefly the application of GPS in the general survey of rivers and lakes.
