摘　　要：本文是关于中国城市化问题的研究综述。根据国外城市化概念与内涵以及中国城市化的定义界定中国城市化的研究边界,文章系统地收集了社会学、人口学、地理学、城市规划、经济学和历史学等中国城市化研究的学科群体的研究成果,从国内和海外两个方面回顾了中国城市化研究过程。文章将国内的中国城市化研究分为五个时期：中国城市化研究起步时期（1978～1983）、中国城市化理论独创与外国城市化理论借鉴时期（1984～1988）、中国城市化要素与本土化研究时期（1989～1997）、中国城市化政府推动研究时期（1998～2004）和中国城市化科学研究繁荣时期（2005年至今）。海外的中国城市化研究主要分为三个时期：中国城市化的历史学研究（1970年代以前）、中国城市化的系统研究（1970～1999）和中国城市化的理论框架研究（2000年以来）。与此同时,文章还就中国城市化重要学术活动和事件进行了整理,涉及党中央、国务院、国家发展与改革委员会、建设部、民政部、科技部和国家科研基金等与中国城市化相关的重要文件、活动和事件,也就重要的国际合作和会议进行了整理。综述认为：中国城市化研究具有鲜明的特色,表现在国外学者中国城市化理论研究成果丰富,国内学者中国城市化研究实用性明确,国内外学者互动国际经验借鉴良好。当然,中国城市化研究也存在一些问题,如城市化概念模糊,基础统计数据缺乏;重现象研究,轻理论归纳;区域城市化研究多,国家和全球背景研究少等。由于中国正处在由计划经济向市场经济过渡的转型时期,国外发达资本主义条件下发展的城市化理论难以直接引进并加以应用,国内原有在计划经济条件下形成的城市发展理论也难以适应新的发展,所以在推进城市化进程中也面临一系列科学问题。当代中国城市化�The report recapitulates the research progress in China＇s urbanization systematically. At the beginning, the report gives the research boundary of China＇s urbanization that concluded by the concept and meaning of urbanization in other countries and the concept of urbanization in China. Then, the report systematically collects the research pro- ductions of China＇s urbanization from the study of sociology, demography, geogra- phy, urban planning, economics, history and so on, and reviews domestic and abroad study progress of China＇s urbaniza- tion. There are 5 periods of domestic research of China＇s urbanization, they are： （1） the start period of research of China＇s urbanization （ 1978-1983 ）, （2） China＇s urbanization theories primarily constructed period （1984-1988）, （3） indigenous research period of China＇s urbanization （1989- 1997 ）, and （ 4 ） government pushed research period （1998-2004）, and compre- hensive research period of China＇s urbaniza- tion （2005- ）. Overseas research of China＇s urbanization is mainly divided into 3 peri- ods： （ 1 ） historical research of China＇s urbanization （before 1970）, （2）systemati- cal research of China＇s urbanization （1970- 1999）, and （3） general research of China＇surbanization （2000- ）. The research of China＇s urbanization have some vivid characteristics, such as foreign scholars pay more attention to academic study, and accomplishments are convincing, domestic scholars tend to availability research of China＇s urbanization, and domestic and for- eign scholars often exchange their thoughts and use fruits from others for reference~ But there are still some shortcomings in the study in the past, for example, the concept of urbanization is not clear, basic data is so absent, researchers pay most attention to phenomenon research but neglect theory construction, emphasize regional urbaniza- tion research and few to study urbanization from national and global framework, etc In the end, the re
