摘　　要：约翰·奥斯本《愤怒的回顾》是英国剧坛上的一颗"炸弹",开创了二战后英国戏剧创作的新领域,掀起了英国戏剧史上的"第一次浪潮"。奥斯本笔下的吉米·波特成为"愤怒的青年"的典型代表,吉米式的"愤怒"反映了战后一代年青人的共同心声。本文拟从社会根源、阶级对立和存在主义思潮影响三个层面,揭示其愤怒的必然性和普遍性。John Osborn＇s Look Back in Anger is like a ＂bomb＂, starting a new field in English dramatic creation after the World War II and initiating the ＂first wave＂ in the English dramatic history. Jimmy Porter in Look Back in Anger is a typical example of ＂an angry young man＂ and Jimmy＇s anger reflects aspirations of the young generation after the war. This paper intends to reveal inevitability and universality of Jimmy＇s anger by exploration of Jimmy＇s major reasons of anger from three aspects, including social origin, class antagonism and existentialism. The work embodies realistic spirit of the dramatist＇ s disclosing social problems and searching for truth.
