摘　　要：清末,农工商部大力推行农业改良政策和措施,组织编纂了《棉业图说》八卷,这是一部倡导棉业改良的书籍.着重说明与分析该书中介绍的美国和德国棉业机械,尽管《棉业图说》所推介的外国棉业机械较为粗略,但对当时中国的棉业生产颇有帮助.Towards the end of Qing dynasty,Department of Agriculture,Industry and Commerce of China had made great efforts on improving policy and measures of agriculture.The Illustrated Book on Cotton Industry was then compiled and published in 1910.It is an eight-book treatise which aims to improve cotton industry in China.The present paper deals with those machines which are introduced in the Illustrated Book on Cotton Industry.This paper focuses on the description and analysis American and German cotton machinery is introduced in this book.Although foreign cotton machinery in The Illustrated Book on Cotton Industry introduced relatively simple,it is quite helpful for the China cotton production at that time,and profoundly influences China cotton production.
