摘 要:模型简化对提高有限元网格生成速度及质量具有重要意义.圆角特征是几何造型的常见特征,现有的简化方法是将圆角特征从模型中直接删除,虽然实现了模型特征的简化,但是会破坏模型原有的外部形状.提出一种基于圆角曲面重构的模型简化方法,利用中轴线将圆角曲面进行分解,然后将分解后的圆角曲面与相应邻面进行重构,实现模型简化的目的.同其他方法相比,该方法可以在不改变模型外部形状的前提下减少构成模型的曲面数,达到模型简化的效果.采用同样的网格生成算法和同样的控制参数,简化后的模型生成的有限元网格数量比原模型的更少,实验结果证明了方法的可行性和有效性.Model simplification plays an important role in improving speed and quality of generating finite element mesh. Blend fea- ture is one common feature of the geometry modeling. The present simplification methods are that the blend feature is removed direct- ly from the model. However, these methods can achieve the model simplification, and destroy the original external shape. This paper proposes a novel model simplification method based on blend surface reconstruction, which blend surface is decomposed by the medial axis, after decomposition, reconstruction is made for blend and its adjacent faces for model simplification purpose. Compared with other methods, it can reduce the number of boundary surfaces on the basis of not changing external shape of the model so that it can expect model simplification. With adoption of the same mesh generation algorithm and controls parameter, the number of finite ele- ment mesh of the simplified model is far less than that of the original model.
