摘　　要：基于湖北省域副中心城市和鄂西北特大型城市的定位,分析了襄阳市城市发展的现实基础条件和存在的优势;提出了襄阳市采取规模扩张模式加速城市化发展的有关策略;讨论了襄阳市在城市建设管理中应注意的问题,并提出了对策。In the basis of positioning Xiangyang as a deputy center city in Hubei Province and a super large metropolis in Northwest Hubei,this paper analyses firstly the actual conditions and the advanta- ges of the urbanization development of Xiangyang City;Secondly,it introduces a suggestion that Xian- gyang City should employ scale expansion strategy to expedite its urbanization;And finally,the exist- ing problems and the corresponding countermeasures are discussed in city construction management of Xiangyang City. The results in this study have an actual importance and policy reference value for Xiangyang City to accelerate the process of urbanization and to develop the regional economy,
