摘　　要：在当前社会的发展中,阅读已成为提高国民基本素质的有效途径,尤其对于特殊群体来说,阅读能力的高低将会对其知识的积累、思维方式的转变、生活能力的提高产生不可估量的影响。从公共图书馆为儿童这一特殊读者群体服务的现状入手,论述了公共图书馆服务儿童读者群体的意义,探讨了公共图书馆在儿童读者服务方面存在的问题,提出了拓展儿童阅读广度和深度的对策。In current social development, reading has become an effective way for improving the national basic quality, especially for the special groups, the reading ability will produce immeasurable influence on their knowledge＇s accumulation, thinking mode＇s transformation and living ability＇s improvement. Starting from the present situation of public library＇s service for children, a special group, this paper discusses the significance of public library＇s service for children readers, probes into some problems existing in public lbrary s service for children readers, and puts forward l＂ some countermeasures for expanding the breadth and depth of children＇ s reading.
