摘　　要：本文利用中国近年来开放的外交档案,比照美国外交档案,重建和分析了1954-1957年间中国为争取老挝中立而积极展开外交活动的过程和原因,从而展现50年代中后期中美在东南亚激烈争夺的历史场景,以此加深我们对东南亚国际冷战史的认识。Based on China＇s newly declassified archives and compared with the U. S. diplomatic documents, this paper attempts to analyze why and how China made great diplomatic efforts to win over neutrality of Laos during 1954 - 1957. By doing so, the author tries to demonstrate how the intense confrontation between China and the U. S, evolved in Southeast Asia and thus deepens our knowledge of international history of the Cold War in East Asia.
