摘　　要：网络编码允许网络节点对信息进行编码处理后转发到目的节点,理论上可以使组播传输达到最大流最小割定理所确定的最大传输容量。多速率组播是一种可适应网络异构性的高效网络传输技术,允许信源根据信宿接收能力的不同以相应的速率将信息传输到各个信宿,满足异构网络的要求。介绍了网络编码和多速率组播的概念、网络编码的优缺点,多速率组播的实现方法,总结了基于网络编码和多速率组播在网络性能优化方面的研究。Network coding allows each node to code the information and transmit the coded packets to the destination nodes, the transmission rate of multicast can reach the theoretical maximum transmission capacity decided by max-flow min-cut the-orem.Multirate multicast is an effective network communication mechanism which is adaptable for the heterogeneous net-work,the source sends information to each sink with different rates according to the sinks′different receiving capability.It satisfies the requirement of the heterogeneous network.The author introduces the concept of network coding and multirate multicast,the advantages and shortcomings of network coding,the implement methods of multirate multicast,then summa-rizes the research of network performance optimization based on network coding and multirate multicast.
